JLB Foundation is a family foundation dedicated to a single, clearly defined cause: non-formal education for children.
We support children and young people aged 5 – 18 the school-age years when non-formal education can have the greatest impact on confidence, skills and future opportunities.
We intentionally support grassroots charities across London and the South East. Proximity allows us to build lasting relationships, volunteer alongside our partners, and create impact beyond funding.

OUR THREE PILLARS
SPORTS
Building confidence through teamwork, resilience and belonging.
VOLUNTEERING
Developing compassion, responsibility and community spirit.
LIFE SKILLS
Preparing young people for work, life and adulthood.
Our three pillars are built on one belief: that sport, volunteering and life skills develop the confidence, character and resilience every child needs to thrive.
We don’t just fund charities — we stand beside them. By giving our time, sharing our experience and building long-term relationships, we believe the greatest impact comes from being present.
“Lasting impact isn’t created through funding alone — it’s
built through trust, commitment and showing up.”
— James Bicknell, Co-Founder, JLB Foundation
